BAPW works to assist tsunami relief
The BAPW is working with its members to provide support to communities stricken by Boxing Day’s tsunami by strengthening its relationship with charity partner International Health Partners UK.
International Health Partners (IHP) was launched in November to direct pharmaceutical aid to communities in the developing world, linking the medical community, pharmaceutical and medical supply companies and Government, with organisations and individuals involved in providing humanitarian aid to the world's most needy.
IHP has been asked to coordinate donations of medical supplies from the UK industry, including wholesalers, to meet the needs of many of the WHO, UN and DEC programmes operating in the area. The BAPW, in turn, is liaising closely with IHP to ensure that donations made by BAPW members have maximum effect.
If you are a BAPW member and want further information on what your
organisation can do to help, please contact Tony Garlick on 07831180769.
